Design Assistant




Cristi Holcombe Interiors is growing and we’re looking for a Design Assistant to join our team and assist with all our projects large and small. This is a part-time, contract position with a range of 15-25 hours a week.



- Attention to detail and organizational skills are absolutely necessary for this position. You will be expected to pay close attention to everything. Every dollar, inch and detail counts!
- MUST be able to communicate well with trade partners as well as clients, and must ALWAYS have positive attitude when doing so. We have worked very hard to cultivate our relationships, and we value them greatly.
- At least 1 year of industry experience is preferred.
- MUST have a working knowledge of CAD, SketchUp, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Excel and Google Slides. *Knowledge of IVY and QB is a plus but not required.
- Live locally and have a car to schlep samples (we regularly travel to job sites around north Atlanta as well as different projects and showrooms in town).
- MUST have an interior design portfolio (i.e. design boards, renderings, space plans, and rooms you have designed...even if they are of your own home or virtually).
- Flexible work schedule - normal hours are 9-5, but sometimes late nights and early mornings happen.
- Willing to do tasks both large and small - everything from organizing samples and unpacking boxes to sourcing for projects and guided room design.


Roles and Responsibilities:
You will be assisting with a wide variety of tasks including, but not limited to:

• CAD/SketchUp drawings
• Placing and tracking orders
• Shopping for styling work, fabric, selections, etc.
• Picking up samples
• Creating detailed budgets in Excel
• Space plans to scale
• Communicating with team members, clients, contractors and vendors
• Assisting with any other daily office and project needs as they arise
• Composing design schemes and boards as directed
