Is it right for you?
If you’re building a new home, you’re ready to make some major renovations, or maybe you’re just looking to refresh several areas, and you’re ready to take the next step but don’t have the time and/or expertise to do it on your own – you need an experienced professional that offers turn-key full service interior design. Cristi Holcombe Interiors focuses on delivering a completely curated and finished space and the best part is that you don’t have to lift a finger!
What does “full service” mean?
Full service interior design involves an interior design team managing your entire project scope, from initial concept all the way through to installation and final styling touches. Good design involves the coordination of so many details and our involvement from start to finish allows you to save time and energy and ultimately, helps your vision come to life in a beautiful, cohesive and functional fashion.
What we do (an abbreviated list):
Are you prepared for the investment?
Full service interior design is a financial investment. It’s an investment that typically provides a financial return by increasing your home’s value, but can also help improve your quality of life and your overall enjoyment of your home. We would also argue that an investment in full service interior design can often help save you money, as we can help you avoid costly mistakes and deliver a final result that you’ll be pleased with for years to come.
A full service design fee investment starts around $5k on the low end and can go up to six figures for large/extensive projects. Remember, this investment is the design fee and does not include the cost of the finishes, furniture, lighting, etc.
Furnishing budgets vary, but a starting point is around $25k for a single room and $200k+ for a whole home.
Are you open to the process and the timeline?
Hiring a full service designer means that you’re trusting in our expertise and experience to design and plan spaces that bring your vision to life in the best way possible. We need (and welcome) feedback and input from you before we embark on a design direction, but if you’ve already selected all, or the majority, of the finishes and/or furnishings that you want in your home, or if you want to source alongside us, full service design is not the right fit for you. Our involvement in the concepts, sourcing, purchasing and coordination is what leads to the best possible outcome for you and your project and is the service model our firm operates under.
The average process for a small-to-mid sized project can take anywhere from 4-6 months, whereas a new home build could be 18-24+ months (this timeline truly is dependent upon the size and scope of your project and the particular finishes, furnishings, etc. involved.) For reference, custom upholstery lead-times are ranging anywhere from 6 to 32 weeks and some appliance lead-times are up to a year.
If the prospect of full service design resonates with you, we’d invite you to complete our contact form. Once received, someone will be in touch with you in 3-5 business to discuss next steps!
